Learning Technologies Specialist | Corporate Office (Hybrid Role)

Job Summary

The Learning Technologies Specialist will be involved in a variety of disciplines in Camdenâ™s Learning and Development group including systems administration, reporting and data presentation, internal communications, and instructional design. They will apply industry knowledge to increase the effectiveness of HR systems and collaborate with the Learning and Development team and business partners to deliver high quality training resources and experiences to Camden team members. They are responsible for monitoring compliance and usage metrics, maintaining accuracy of training records, and keeping training guides up to date. This individual will report to the Director of Learning Innovation.

Essential Functions

  • Lead implementation of Camdenâ™s Learning Management System (LMS) including optimizing content structure, maintaining the course library, and testing learning content
  • Advise business partners and the Learning and Development team on the best use of learning tools and the LMS to maximize engagement and impact
  • Collaborate with HR system and training vendors to ensure effective implementation and increase adoption
  • Apply instructional design and adult learning principles to improve learning content, objectives, and pathways
  • Develop and maintain videos, training guides, and resources for systems support
  • Research and test new system functionality and tools and make recommendations for system and process improvements
  • Support HR change management initiatives for system rollouts and enhancements including strategy and communications
  • Manage HR system and LMS reporting, provide data needed to drive business decisions, and develop a working knowledge of data feeds and integrations
  • Monitor compliance and usage metrics and communicate results in quarterly updates
  • Provide system training and appropriate access for trainers and support partners
  • Input course information and scheduled training into the LMS
  • Assist with quarterly systems testing and uploading attendance records
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience by providing support, research, and resolution for team member issues

Requirements

  • Bachelorâ™s Degree in related field is preferred
  • Three years of experience managing and implementing a Learning Management System; Experience with Oracle Learning is a plus
  • Knowledgeable in the use of SCORM or AICC publishing
  • Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theory principles is preferred
  • Experience with video editing and Articulate 360 Rise is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Job is intermittently sedentary but requires mobility (i. e. , climb stairs)
  • Will use some repetitive motion of hand-wrist in using computer and writing
  • Works in a typical office setting
  • Emotional stability and personal maturity are important attributes in this position
  • Must handle stressful, urgent, novel and diverse work situations on a daily basis
  • May require long hours and odd schedules (including weekends)
  • Position requires periodic travel by automobile to handle work-related activities
  • May require airline travel, out-of-town and /or overnight trips
  • Attendance and punctuality is essential for success in this position
  • Hazards can be minimized with proper lifting techniques, SDS, general safety training, and wearing appropriate PPE
