Housekeeper

Overview:

AMLI Residential is looking to hire a Custodian at our luxury apartment complex in Austin. We are looking for someone with an eye for details and that can work independently. This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the appearance, and upkeep of property buildings, amenity areas, vacant apartments, elevators, and grounds.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Clean the leasing office, restrooms, hallways, stairways, elevators, amenity areas, laundry facilities, garage/parking lots, sidewalks/alleyways, and other common areas daily or as scheduled by the Community or Service Manager.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuums all hallways.
• Ensure timely and effective trash removal from all assigned areas daily.
• Maintain and clean lights in hallways as scheduled by the Service Manager
• Maintain lawn care by picking up trash and sweeping leaves. Hose to clean front entry walks. Water flower boxes daily (seasonal).
• Care for, maintain and inventory all janitorial supplies and cleaning equipment owned by the property and the management company.
• Maintain proper storage, use, and disposal of all hazardous materials and chemicals per local, state, federal, and manufacturing guidelines.
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy as necessary.
• Keep all vacancies fresh, clean, and odorless by cleaning model apartments regularly per the Community and Service Manager.
• Keep plumbing fixtures, refrigerators, and gas or electric ranges clean.
• Lend assistance during the clean-out of the vacated unit; including but not limited to moving heavy/bulky items to the dumpster and inventory items left in the unit.
• Wash interior/exterior windows on the ground floor and all other interiors as often as necessary to keep the premises or apartments in presentable condition for rental.
• Miscellaneous duties as required, i.e., weekly property inspections, posting or delivering notices to residents, assisting maintenance employees, being available for emergency response when property requests it: i.e., Snow removal, fire, flood, etc.
• Adhere to OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in Janitorial, Cleaning, Custodial work preferred.
• Some weekends may be required.
• Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
